beretta firearms - Beretta Storm Series
The Beretta Storm series is as diverse as the weather systems of which it is named after. These beretta handguns come in several shapes and sizes. First, is the Beretta px4 storm, which is in the semi-automatic line of beretta firearms. The px4 storm is intended for personal defense and law enforcement use. Light-weight polymer construction with steel inserts, a modular trigger group, fully enclosing slide, Picatinny rail, and changeable backstrap options for the grip are a radical departure from previous Beretta designs.
THE OTHER TWO BERETTA FIREARMS IN THE STORM SERIES ARE BOTH RIFLES. THE BERETTA CX4 STORM IS A VERY FUTURISTIC RIFLE. IT IS A PISTOL-CALIBER CARBINE AIMED AT THE SPORTING, PERSONAL DEFENSE AND LAW ENFORCEMENT MARKETS. IT IS THE CIVILIAN VERSION OF THE BERETTA MX4 STORM. THE CX4 STORM WAS DEVELOPED TO BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH BERETTA SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOLS. FOR EXAMPLE, THE MAGAZINES FOR THE BERETTA 92FS CHAMBERED IN 9MM CAN BE USED IN THE CX4 WHICH IS ALSO CHAMBERED IN 9MM. THIS AIDS IN A SMALLER LOADOUT – NO LONGER NEEDING TO CARRY SEPARATE MAGAZINES FOR THE RIFLE AND HANDGUN – AND ADDS REDUNDANCY, ALLOWING A PERSON TO CARRY MORE AMMUNITION WITHOUT ADDING WEIGHT.
The other rifle is the Beretta Rx4 storm. The Rx4 is the first .223 caliber carbine in Beretta’s Storm-family. It is entirely and solely manufactured in the Benelli Armi plant in Urbino, and marked “Beretta” as Benelli is part of the Beretta Holding and owned by Beretta since 1983. Nonetheless, in Italy, the Rx4 Storm carbine is inscribed on the National Catalogue of beretta firearms, which is the list of firearms approved for civilian ownership by the Italian Ministry of Interior. The samples sold in the United States are assembled at the Beretta-USA plant in Accokee, Maryland with imported parts of Italian manufacture.
