Proper shooting techniques with Beretta pistols

Beretta pistols - Proper shooting techniques.

If you watch any movies, rap videos or even just some YouTube videos, you may notice that gangstas like to shoot sideways. That’s completely wrong – besides being unsafe in the first place (if they’re shooting wildly, that is) it’s not accurate or helpful. Shooting Beretta pistols well is simple, some have said. It just isn’t easy.

THE HANDGUN IS THE MOST DIFFICULT OF BERETTA PISTOLS TO SHOOT WELL, MAINLY BECAUSE THERE’S LESS TO HANG ON TO WHEN IT BUCKS LIKE AN ANGRY STALLION. THERE’S A SHORTER RADIUS BETWEEN THE FRONT AND REAR SIGHT THAN WITH A RIFLE, MEANING A GREATER UNNOTICED HUMAN ERROR FACTOR IN AIMING. YOU DON’T HAVE THAT THIRD LOCKING POINT ON THE SHOULDER THAT YOU HAVE WITH A LONG GUN’S BUTT STOCK. AND FEW HANDGUNS HAVE THE INHERENT MECHANICAL ACCURACY OF A GOOD RIFLE.

But if you’re going to be living in a city, some of the Beretta pistols are the way to go. They’re more compact, easier to store in an apartment or small house and just as powerful, often able to stop bears in their tracks. All you really have to learn is the marksmanship basics and if you perform those correctly, you’ll be on your way. Just remember to have a strong stance, high hand grasp, hard grip and good front sight and smooth rearward roll of the trigger. First, there’s the stance. You’ll want to be in a boxer or fighter’s stance, what karate instructors call a “front stance.” That’s key to how well you’ll be firing with your Beretta 9MM.
