Etiquette for Shooting Ranges with Beretta firearms

Etiquette for Shooting Ranges with Beretta firearms

So let’s just say that for your birthday, you didn’t get what you wanted. Your mother got you a card with a check, your brother got you a card with a check, your wife cooked for you and let you sleep with her, and your kids gave you stuff they made in day care. You decide to take matters into your own hands – quite literally – by getting yourself a dream you’ve had for decades – a Beretta 92FS, the same gun used by the military and in tons of action movies. You want to feel like Mel Gibson, shooting at anything that moves, but you can’t legally just go firing at things in your backyard, especially since you live in the inner city and your backyard is just a plot of dirt barely a few feet wide.

SO YOU’LL HAVE TO GET A MEMBERSHIP DOWN AT THE LOCAL SHOOTING RANGE. NO BIG DEAL, THEY’D LOVE TO SEE A FEW MORE BERETTA FIREARMS HANGING ABOUT, I’M SURE.

But there is plenty of etiquette to consider. You can’t just show up and start firing away – that’s definitely a no no. You’ll want to be protected, so bring ear muffs and glasses, or you can rent some from the shooting range. You’ll have to buy your ammunition from them – this is to prevent anything exploding with modified rounds and also so the company makes a little profit. Never point the gun in an unsafe direction and be friendly – don’t try to be a badass just because you think you’re cool holding a gun. It’s much more important to be courteous and safe.
